About Me

California Contemporary artist, Ally Richter, is a person of many talents. Each year, she identifies individual creative projects that serve a public need. This year, 2010, she help create an art grant targeting low income girls aged 13-17 in Silicon Valley who had minimal exposure to creative arts. A collaborate effort with several local nonprofits and an award winning quilting artist, the idea for an art history quilting project was born. The exhibit will tour and raise scholarship funds for the participating teens. Ally also spend many hours weekly serving in a volunteer position of Art Commissioner as well as other nonprofit public service board activities.

Ally is best known for her award winning textured encaustic artworks. She often use color and texture concepts to challenge the imagination and invoke an emotional response. She constantly searches, challenge and experiments with new ideas in this ancient art process.

Her studio gallery is  open to visits by appointment.
